• HILLCREST SHOPPING CENTER - Featured Project

  

  

  

  Scope:
  

  120,000 SF renovation of a 1950's shopping center. We began the project by demolishing the front exterior skin, installing new exterior finishes, including storefronts in vacant and occupied spaces. In the rear, we constructed a two-story facade, including rear egress for upstairs tenants, created a new loading dock and elevator area, repaved the entire front and rear parking lot. While we were on-site, we completed the interior build-outs of Gardner's Restaurant, Hibbett's Sports, Jenny Craig Weight Loss, and 13 white box spaces.

• THE SHOPS AT MIDTOWN MIAMI - Featured Project

  

  Scope:
  Construction of the Shops at Midtown Miami-Mid Block West began in mid February 2006. A five acre tract consisting of 85,087 SF of retail space featuring West Elm, specialty shops and restaurants, was completde in Fall 2006. This tract is part of a 645,000 square foot shopping center development in the heart of Miami and adjacent to Miami’s design district. In addition to West Elm, the shopping center will feature Target, Linen ‘N Things, Circuit City, Ross Dress For Less, Marshalls, PETsMart, lifestyle tenants and restaurants. The Shops at Midtown Miami is a new development of Developers Diversified Realty, a Cleveland-based real estate investment trust. Rufus Manley, Senior Project Manager at DLP, is overseeing the project.

  Scope:
  Toni & Guy is a cutting-edge Hair Salon with a space design that complements the style. Because the space is limited, it required careful construction scheduling and coordination of subs, yet the finished design includes all the functional space of a large scale layout and with the same ease of movement. The Salon build out included first, the demolition of the existing retail space, then precise layout of plumbing walls before opening up the ceiling in one of the mall's west entrances and closing it on two separate occasions without inconveniencing mall clientele. The actual construction time was 5 weeks.
