Construction of the Shops at Midtown Miami-Mid Block West began in mid February 2006.  A five acre tract consisting of 85,087 SF of retail space featuring West Elm, specialty shops and restaurants, will complete in Fall 2006.  This tract is part of a 645,000 square foot shopping center development in the heart of Miami and adjacent to Miami’s design district.  In addition to West Elm, the shopping center will feature Target, Linen ‘N Things, Circuit City, Ross Dress For Less, Marshalls, PETsMart, lifestyle tenants and restaurants.  The Shops at Midtown Miami is a new development of Developers Diversified Realty, a Cleveland-based real estate investment trust.  Rufus Manley, Senior Project Manager at DLP, is overseeing the project.
